Paint and Body
During my internship with MCR, I learned a lot more in-depth practices about the bodywork process and painting. Here are a few painting projects I have done, along with some work I have done at the body shop where I work part-time. I am currently restoring my 1967 Ford Mustang. I have stripped the vehicle down to bare metal on a rotisserie. This experience has provided me with the opportunity to find problem areas that were hidden and replace body panels, floor pans, and patch metal in preparation for undercoating and primer.
1934 Bugatti Type 57
This is one of the most recent cars I worked on. We are getting it ready for Pebble Beach and I was tasked with touching up some paint on the chassis.
Golf Cart
I bought an old golf cart as a Christmas present for my parents and I decided to paint it Acupolco blue just like what I want to paint my Mustang
In this picture, I just finished putting the sealer on the pieces and got ready for the single stage paint
Here is the final product. I was super happy with how it turned out and my parents loved it.
Patch Panels
This F150 came in with some fender rust and wanted to make it look like new again.
I ordered the lower section piece and patched it in.
Here is the finished product.
A work truck came in and wanted the rust repaired. I cut the section and made a custom patch and welded it in
After welding and skim coating I added a layer of primer.
During my time at MCR, I learned how to reproduce what they did in the factory, and seam sealing was one. On this 69 Pontiac I applied seam sealer in the proper areas and then primed the bottom side
